At ModularBot, accessible from @ModularBot on Telegram and its support bot (@ModularSupportBot), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our users.
This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by ModularBot.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us through @ModularSupportBot or our email.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for users who come into contact to our Telegram Bots with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in ModularBot or that Telegram shares with ModularBot related to them. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than these Telegram Bots.

Cookie policy

We use cookies only to maintain access with your Telegram account to the pay.modularbot.me website. Since they are technical cookies, no consent is required.
No third party cookies are used.

Lawful bases

We do not ask for your prior consent in relation to the data that is saved as the following information is essential to be able to provide the services.

The lawful bases we rely on for processing your information are:

  • We pursue the legitimate interest of bots owners and administrators.

This doesn't affect your rights, which are explained in detail later in this document.

Detailed information on the data we collect and save

To provide our services we need to collect some information which are detailed here.
For each type of data collected it is specified how we collect them, why we collect them, who has access to them, how long we keep them and eventually if it's not possible to request their cancellation (only for data absolutely necessary for the public service offered by the bot).

With "clone bots" from here on, we refer to all the bots created through the services of ModularBot.

  1. We save your account informations like: Telegram ID, name, surname and username.

    • These are sent us by Telegram API when you start privately ModularBot or one of the clone bots.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make the bot to work properly.
    • Bot administrators can see this information when you start and write to one of the clone bots. This information is publicly visible in your Telegram profile.
  2. We save your language.

    • These is saved only if you start ModularBot and it can be changed by yourself through "Languages" in that bot.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make the bot and the payment system to work properly in your preferred language.
  3. We save the bot clones you own and the bot data (username, API token, creation date, any topic group set and related relevant threads, language, subscription tier and other settings).

    • These are obtained through Telegram API or set directly by you with bot settings.
    • These are saved as long as you are bot owner.
    • These are saved to give you the possibility to manage bot settings.
  4. We save in which clone bots you are administrator.

    • These are saved when the bot owner adds you as administrator.
    • These are saved as long as you're bot administrator and your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allow you to take advantage of the permissions provided to you in the bot.
  5. We save which clone bots you've started.

    • These are saved when you start a clone bot.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make the bot to work properly.
  6. We save in which clone bots you are banned.

    • These are saved when one of the administrators of the clone bot bans you from using the bot or if you run into one of the active filters in the bot while using the bot.
    • These are saved as long as you're banned from the bot and your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • This is saved for security issues in bot management.
  7. We save if an administrator replied to your message for each clone bot.

    • These is changed when one of the administrators reply for first time to you.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make the bot (especially the filters) to work properly.
  8. We save you first message sent to each clone bot (if it's different from a simple /start).

    • These is saved when you send it.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make the bot to work properly.
  9. For each message sent in each clone bot privately or in any topic group connected to the bot, we save the message IDs and chat IDs, of the original and destination of the message.

    • These are saved when the user (or administrator) send it and only if the message is sent by the user to administrators or by an administrator to a user.
    • These are saved for up to 1 month and as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to make the bot to work properly (the functions of editing, deleting and replying to messages).
  10. We save the broadcast messages created (and possibly sent) in the clone bots.
    Information about messages: settings (notifications, link preview, formatting, protected content), content (text, caption, media, buttons), sent date, sending schedule date.

    • These are saved when each message is created or edited through a clone bot.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to send broadcast messages to all users of the clone bot.
  11. We save the custom start messages of bot clones.
    Information about messages: settings (notifications, link preview, formatting, protected content), content (text, caption, media, buttons) and any target language.

    • These is saved when the message is created or edited through a clone bot.
    • These is saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These is saved to send the start message when a user starts the clone bot.
  12. We save the templates created in the clone bots and the trigger command.
    Information about reply messages: settings (notifications, link preview, formatting, protected content), content (text, caption, media, buttons).

    • These are saved when each template is created or edited through a clone bot.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allow bot clone administrators to use templates to reply to users quickly.
  13. We save information of payments done in the bot (tier bought, date, period, renewal date, any upgrades or downgrades to the subscription and Stripe subscription ID).

    • These are saved when you pay an invoice and when you edit your subscription.
    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allow the correct working of the payment system and to correctly deliver the purchased services.
  14. We save the date and content of any messages you may send us in our Support bot.

    • These are saved as long as your account exists on Telegram (and up to 20 years after its eventual cancellation).
    • These are saved to allow us to help you in the best possible way and to improve the quality of our support service.

The data is stored in our systems, which run on servers located exclusively in European Union countries. Your information may be accessible, in addition to the users already specified point by point, also to our Bot Staff, to provide the service in the best possible way and for the verification of abuse of the service.

GDPR Data Protection Rights

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access
    • You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
    • You can request a full copy of the information or just the parts you are interested in.
    • You can request a copy of data for free once every 30 days, otherwise we may apply small fees.
  • The right to erasure
    • You have the right to request that we erase your personal data.
    • You can request to erase all the information or just the parts you are interested in.
    • Some information, as specified above on a case-by-case basis, is to be considered fundamental for the public service offered by the bot * and therefore its cancellation cannot be requested.
    • Some information can only be deleted under certain conditions, always as described above on a case-by-case basis.
    • You can request the deletion of data for free once every 30 days, otherwise we may apply small fees.
  • The right to lodge a complaint

If you make a request, we have 30 days to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please write us in one of the following way:

Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online and specially Telegram activity.
Group Help does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child information is on our Telegram Bots, we encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
